1/2 c. packed light brown sugar

1/2 c. raisins, finely chopped

2 tbsp. toasted and finely chopped walnuts

3 tbsp. wheat-and-barley nuggets cereal, such as grape-nuts

2 tsp. ground cinnamon

2 tubes (11 ounces each) refrigerated bread dough

1 1/2 tbsp. butter or margarine, melted

1 egg white, lightly beaten with

1 tbsp. water

1/3 c. Confectioners' sugar

1 tbsp. fat-free milk

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly coat a 13" x 9" baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, raisins, walnuts, cereal, and cinnamon.
  3. Unroll the dough pieces on a lightly floured surface. Place 1 piece on top of the other. Pinch the edges to seal. Roll into an 18" x 12" rectangle.
  4. Brush the surface with 1 tablespoon of the butter or margarine. Sprinkle evenly with the brown-sugar mixture. Press the filling lightly into the dough. Starting with 1 long side, roll the dough into a tube, brushing the outside of the dough with egg white as you roll. Pinch the seam to seal. Cut into 12 slices. Arrange the slices, cut side up, in the prepared baking dish. Brush the tops with the remaining 1/2 tablespoon butter or margarine.
  5. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove to a rack to cool slightly.
  6. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the confectioners' sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.Drizzle over the rolls.
